The Okoman MA Primary School in the Ga South Municipality in the Greater Accra region is in a dilapidated state and in dire need of educational materials.
The educational institution has not benefitted from government’s support for schools across the country.
According to its green book, the NDC government said it distributed 12. 5 million English, Mathematics and Science textbooks between 2013 and 2015 to public basic schools.
[some statistical evidence Ghana may have a long way to go in achieving educational parity]
Teachers at Okoman told GHOne News reporter, Alice Aryeetey the “universal textbook-pupil ratio of three textbooks to one pupil” policy has not reached them yet.
