A magistrate court in Accra has on Tuesday ordered that a vehicle belonging to the flagbearer of the United Development System Party (UDSP), Richard Nixon Tetteh, be impounded until he settles rent owed his landlord for the past twelve years.

Nixon Tetteh was dragged to the court by his landlord, Reynolds Allotey Abbey for defaulting in the payment of his rent amounting to over GHC 30.000

Allotey told the court the presidential hopeful has been living in the three bedroom apartment located in Teshie, Tsuibleoo for the past 12 years and has refused to pay his rent in spite of several court actions brought against him to pay what is due his landlord.

Allotey went to the court again to seek an order for possession of his property.

But after hearing the case, the judge ordered that Nixon Tetteh first pays the outstanding rent.
