President John Mahama has sworn in Joseph Whittal as the new Commissioner for the Commission of Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ).
Whittal had been acting as CHRAJ commissioner since Loretta Lamptey was removed from office.
Josephine Nkrumah was also sworn in as the new director for the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE). She has been the deputy Commissioner at the NCCE for almost two years.
The swearing in comes barely two weeks ahead of President Mahama officially handing over power to the newly-elected New Patriotic Party government.
