NPP EXECUTIVE RACE: Vetting ended at Party’s headquarters in Accra.

Vetting for the NPP executive race ended at the party’s national headquarters on Friday. Over forty aspirants took turns in the one week drill.

One aspirant however, chickened out.

From the national nasara wing to the chairmanship position aspirants subjected themselves to scrutiny in the week long vetting.

The last day although did not produce a tensed atmosphere at the Asylum Down office of the ruling New Patriotic Party as projected, nonetheless, the few supporters around showed glimpses of their strong support for their respective candidates.

Five aspirants had earlier showed interest in the ruling party’s chairmanship position.

But a day to the final round of vetting Alhaji Abubakar Abdul-Rahman pulled out of the race.

On Friday, the acting chairman of the party who is contesting to cement his position, Freddie Worsemawu Blay, Stephen Ayensu Ntim, Dr. Richard Amoako Baah and David Kankam Boadu appeared before the vetting committee of the party.

The almost four hour exercise saw each aspirant defend his loyalty for the party according to a source.
