Mahama leaves for 6th TICAD meeting

President John Dramani Mahama has left Accra for Nairobi, Kenya to attend the 6th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD VI).

This event according to a communication from the presidency is the first of its kind in Africa since its inception.

Heads of State are expected to take part in a special high level engagement with the continent’s private sector and their counterparts from Japan.

The National Democratic Congress suspended its manifesto launch scheduled for Sunday August 28, 2016 to make way for the Presidents crucial talks with the Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe prior to the opening ceremony.
