NDC flagbearer aspirant John Dramani Mahama says the ruling New Patriotic Party is bereft of wisdom in managing the economy after lying their way into power.
According to former president Mahama, the current economic hardship facing the country vindicates him from the lies the NPP told Ghanaians prior to election 2016.
Former president John Dramani Mahama has been in Ashanti region for the past three days, in an attempt to persuade delegates to give him a second chance to lead the opposition party in the 2020 elections.
The ex-president was accompanied by the former Chief of staff, Julius Debrah, national council member Ambassador Daniel Ohene Agyekum, former Ashanti regional minister Samuel Sarpong and others.
The president begun the campaign tour from Ejura Sekyire Odumasi, through Asante Mampong, Asawase to Oforikrom constituency.
John Mahama scored the NPP below average.
He commended party delegates for electing competent national executives to steer the affairs of the party going into election 2020 and urged for unity.
