Government is urging the public and residents of Adenta and Madina not to abandon the six footbridges when contractors hand over.
The Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwasi Amoako-Atta said the six footbridges on the 5.6km Adenta-Madina stretch will be completed latest by the second quarter of the year. There have been deadly protests on the stretch following several pedestrian knockdowns as a result of the non completion of the footbridges.
The minister says the six contracted companies have been tasked to work with speed as they have been paid in full and are expected to hand over latest by May.
