A peace ambassador for elections 2016, Irbard Ibrahim has called on Ghanaians to make good use of their blood by supporting a just cause and not spill it as a result of political violence.
The International relations and security analyst joined hundreds of early donors at GHOne TV’s ‘Rep Your Hall and Alma Mater Blood Donation Drive’ currently underway at the Achimota Retail Center said no Ghanaian should lose their life because of scarcity of blood.
“If I pass commentary on matters of international relations and security and I’m also peace ambassador for election 2016, then the essence and motive is to save lives. And so the life of every Ghanaian is very important to me.
“If GHOne TV and the rest of the EIB group is conducting its corporate social responsibility, as an act of a gesture, I thought I should be a part of it so I can help save a life. No Ghanaian should lose their life because there is scarcity of blood in our blood bank…
“I’m glad to be associated with it and on any day, I stand ready to donate my blood to save a life,” Irbard said after taking his turn to donate blood in the drive to replenish the National Blood Bank.
“Let our blood banks bleed with excess blood, but don’t let Ghana bleed in December as a result of political violence,” he added.
