There was pandemonium at the confirmation of the President’s District Chief Executive nominee for Fanteakwa South, Adjabeng Kwasi Ntori, after he was rejected outright by the Assembly Members. The rejection of the DCE nominee, Adjabeng Kwasi Ntori angered his supporters. Consequently, supporters of the Nominee launched attacks on the assembly members accusing them of taking various sums of monies from the nominee in order to endorse him. They also accused the assembly members of attempting to derail progress of the district.
Adjabeng Kwasi Ntori pulled 10 yes votes out of 25 failing to meet the required two thirds. The Eastern regional Minister, Eric Kwakye Darfuor described the incident as unfortunate adding that it will affect development activities in the area.
Meanwhile, DCE nominee for Atiwa West, Isaac Akomani Asamoah sailed through the second round of the voting process and Isaac Appau Gyasi, MCE nominee for New Juaben South was on Tuesday confirmed with a 100% endorsement.
