An unidentified has reportedly thrown a stone at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at a rally at Osu on Wednesday October 5.
Nana Addo was addressing supporters at the community located in the Klottey Korle constituency, as part of the second phase of his greater Accra campaign tour which he started on Monday October 3rd.
He was in the Ablekuma constituency and Ayawaso Central constituency ahead of his arrival to Osu Klottey Korle.
Even though no one saw what happened, the three-time presidential aspirant reportedly complained that someone had thrown a stone at him and subsequently attributed the act as ‘a Ghanaian political normalcy’.
“Someone just threw a stone at me, why?” he asked audibly.
He quickly moved on saying: “No problem, this is our politics in Ghana.”
He however urged voters to be fair and help Ghanaians out of the “grips of the clueless Mahama led government”
He expressed optimism his wishes will come through but also pleaded to the people to elect the party’s MP candidate Phillip Addison.
“I would wish that when we are moving [to the Flagstaff House], you allow Philip Addison to come along with me. Our party, the party of the Elephant, we know of only one candidate for Klottey Korle. He is Philip Addison. We know of no other person. We go to primaries to elect someone before he can contest [on our ticket]. So please make no mistake – NPP is the only party capable of removing the NDC from power. No other political organisation in Ghana can do it.”
