The Black Star International Film Festival is focused on three main themes: the business of film and film financing, opportunities for distribution, and advocating for policies that will enable film to achieve its purpose of being a cultural diplomacy tool, a trade enabler, a global connector and an employment creator.
The BSIFF is set to become a key destination festival in Africa. As a festival that is focused on the business of film, the goal of the festival is to help to bridge the critical industry gaps on the continent and to assist in putting Africa on the map, as a film festival destination.
The festival will include screenings, panels, Q&A sessions, parties, music shows, and the exciting list goes on and on!
The venues for the various festival events will be the Silverbird Cinemas Ghana, Nafti, James Town and many more – and of course Citi Showbiz will be present to celebrate African film.
