Rapper Sarkodie says he’s grown to develop nerves for trolls on microblogging site Twitter where he is a regular patron.
With an over a million following on Twitter, Sarkodie attracts several comments – negative and positive.
Speaking in an interview on GHOne TV’s RythmzLive show Wednesday ahead of his annual Rapperholic concert set for December 25, the award-winning Ghanaian artiste stated that he laughs off tweets targeted at probably putting him off.
He told Berla Mundi: “These days, we [celebrities] are not lucky; we’re coming in this social media era where everyone has an opinion and then people that when they meet you, they can’t even say hi; they feel so scared to even greet you but they take their phone and write things about you [sic].”
According to Sarkodie, he does not allow posts by trolls to affect him because they are in the minority.
“The funny thing is the moment they see it gets to you, you’re done.
“At this point, I read these things and laugh… Sometimes, they [followers] try to be funny but when you take it to heart, then you have a problem,” he added.
