Former Sports Minister Enoch Tei Mensah has waded into discussions over the frosty relationship between the Nii Lante Vanderpuije-led Sports Ministry and the Ghana Football Association.
Speaking to GHOne Sports, the longest serving Sports Minister urged the country’s football governing body must submit itself and co-operate with the current Minister to aid in achieving targets set by both bodies.
“Somebody will have to be humble. It’s not a matter of Nii Lante walking on anybody but they [Ghana FA] should be humble enough,” E.T Mensah stated.
He however chastised the Ghana FA alleging that they engage conduits to insult the Minister in the media.
“You go on air through communicators and insult your minister that he should not have anything to say about the [association] that he has been assigned to work.
“When things go wrong, he is the one whose head will go and that is why we are having this turnover of Ministers because people will deliberately say “this Minister, I will finish him,” he explained.
