Award-winning broadcaster, Kwaku Sakyi-Addo has advised journalists to leave out their political preferences when they walk into the studio.
According to him during this elections year journalist must compartmentalize and make a distinction when it comes to their work and their political preferences.
“We all have our [political] preferences but I think when you walk into the studio you must be professional,” Kwaku Sakyi-Addo said.
This advice comes at the time when the media is being asked by all and sundry to be circumspect in their reportage before, during and after the 2016 elections.
The veteran journalist was interviewed on GH Today by Kafui Dey and Baisiwa Dowuona-Hammond Wednesday where he shared his experiences and anecdotes as a journalist. He also used the opportunity to promote his new radio program “The Lounge”.
The Lounge, a live radio talk show airs on Starr 1O3.5FM every Friday at 7 pm and recorded for telecast on GH One TV.
